    Global Communities of Support is dedicated to using the principles and practices of community building to address the challenges facing individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities and their families. Our ultimate goal  is to provide residents with the sense of togetherness and  security that comes from truly being part of a community.

    Our geographic focus is Montgomery Township, where GCOS is named in the Townships Housing Element and Fair Share Plan as the coordinator of 22 beds in group home facilities planned for Skillman Village, a 260-acre tract owned by the Township.

While Somerset County and Montgomery Township continue negotiations for the county purchase of most or all of this property for a county park, GCOS has begun researching additional locations and pursuing partnerships with other housing providers in order to help meet the intense demand for
  special needs housing now. By partnering with service providers and the community, GCoS hopes to create a collaborative model that can be replicated in other areas.
